Mentorship Program

Our mentorship is designed for 200 hour yoga teacher training graduates and teachers looking for practical one on one personalized progression, who want to expand their knowledge and confidence with building community.

Mentees will build their skillset with time in and out of the classroom, assisting their mentor, and learning to manage and hold space in intimate and larger settings. The mentorship will assist mentees to build confidence, and trust their skills while they develop as a teacher.

The program can be tailored to best suit your individual needs, with our outline covering many topics and areas, including:

  • Understanding your personal goals, objectives, and class style

  • Sequencing and theming classes

  • Your teaching skillset - pacing a class, developing your voice, and holding space

  • Safe hands on adjustments/assists, with practice assisting classes

  • Adapting your teaching to specialist populations through progressions/modifications and use of props

  • Building a community of regular students, through donation based classes you will lead at Empowered

  • Specific actionable feedback to create positive development in your teaching

Schedule

The mentorship lasts 12 weeks.

Your sessions will primarily take the form of one-to-ones with your mentor, during which you can cover everything from building confidence in your teaching and identifying who you are as a teacher, to deciding how much to charge, how to work with private clients, starting to teach at studios, and more.

Group Sessions

May include opening circle/commencement, Adjustment Workshops, Practice Teaching Workshops, Marketing Workshops.

1-2-1 Sessions

Minimum 30 minutes every week at a time agreed between you and your mentor.

Additional Commitments

Attending your mentors class at least once a week, assisting your mentors class, leading donation based community classes, and completing any journaling/homework or further reading asked of you.

Investment

Enrolment in the programme is $2200, with a $500 non refundable deposit required to secure your place.
